About Jobs at Club Red Strata Cleaning and How to Apply
If you are interested in working in the cleaning services industry or happen to know anyone who is, the following explains what we do and who we are looking for to join our hard-working, reliable team.
Please read the following information carefully, and if you believe you qualify, and you wish to start the application process, you are welcome to complete the initial expression of interest form at the bottom of the page.
Once we have reviewed your expression of interest in a job, we will let you know if we:
(a) consider that your application could be successful and
(b) that we have sufficient work available that might suit your location and available hours.
If that is the case, only then will we ask you to complete the next stage of the application process, where documentation will be required before an offer of employment can be made.
Our Typical Employee Profile
The Big Question - How Much Do We Pay?
We review staff wages annually, or in accordance with Government directives, but our current base rate of pay as at financial year ending 2026 for our Casual staff is $34.37 (gross) per hour. Additional payments or allowances may also apply for specific situations, such as for example, fuel allowances or public holiday allowances. We pay above industry requirements because we value our people highly and treat them like they are part of our extended family.
Essential Requirements If You Wish to Work with Us:
- You must be legally able to work in Australia (I.e. be a permanent resident or have a visa that authorises you to engage in paid employment)
- You must have your own reliable transport and a current licence to drive in WA (unless we can arrange for you to work alongside an employee who does) because you need to be able to take cleaning gear with you, and you can't do that on public transport.
- You must be reliable and conscientious - because we need to trust you to be able to often work unsupervised and still achieve a high standard.
- You must have a reasonable standard of health and fitness - so you can carry mop buckets or vacuum cleaners up and down stairs. (NB if you have pre-existing medical conditions that may affect this, you need to be honest in the application process).
- You should ideally be double-vaccinated against COVID-19, for your safety and the safety of building residents. (This is not currently mandatory but may be upgraded to essential in order to comply with latest Government Heath Orders in the event of another pandemic).
- You must be able to read, write and speak English to a 'reasonably fluent' standard - so that you can understand instructions and report maintenance issues to us. If you only speak 'broken' English to a beginner's level, then miscommunications may occur that could cause problems and it would be better to make progress before applying.
- You must have a Smart Phone so you can take photographs and post them on our reporting app. (Don't worry if you don't know how to do this as we will provide training.)
Note - If you cannot fulfill the above requirements, you will probably not be a good match for our team.
